Verizon Wireless / NASCAR Sponsorship

CAN YOU FIND ME NOW?

In 2009, Verizon Wireless acquired a racing sponsorship in its acquisition of Altell Networks. Verizon wanted to make an impact during a race day and surprise fans with a purely branding and awareness campaign. Our solution; a stunt at Lowes Motor Speedway on a race day during the Sprint Racing Series.

We ran a contest called "Can You FInd Me Now" in which we gave a prize to whom ever could find and take a picture of the real Verizon Wireless "Can you hear me now" guy. What people did not know, is that 125 look-a-likes were descended on the scene, along with the real guy. A street team was sent out with flyers, signs and t-shirts promoting the event 30 minutes prior to the 3 runs we did.

The results were then filmed and put on Youtube and other viral video sites to be passed around.
