Ever since the release of the iPhone, cell phone companies have been trying to play catch up. In October of 2007, Verizon Wireless answered with a suite of 4 ground breaking and innovative phones that could only be described as; Next Phones Now.
The Voyager by LG, The Venus by LG, The Juke by Samsung and the Blackberry Pearl were the highlighted phones and the microsite was the driving force that housed these phones. Visitors to the site were treated a slick background and video reveal of the phones. Each phone had an in depth interactive experience that highlighted the features and personality of the devices. .
The campaign consisted of over a dozen executions, including banners, site take over's, digital signage and email campaigns.
The microsite had over 339 thousand unique visitors during the first month and users spent an average of 2.97 minutes on the page.

TEASER SITE
For a week leading up to the site launch, a teaser site was built to create hype and intrigue around the phones that were launching. We created a site that got progressively lighter as the 7 days passed, and let the user roll their mouse around to explore the silhouettes of the phones..

VIDEO BANNER CAMPAIGN
Video banners ran on a massive media plan that spanned English and Hispanic websites and featured full video of the phones showing off their unique designs, pushing people to the microsite to learn more. The units delivered 130 millions impressions and 334k clicks in its first 3 months.

Digital signage was used to promote the phones in store and also took advantage of the slick design to showcase these ground breaking phones.
